Seldex Artistic Albums offer a large variety of cover options for our Bookbound Album range.  We have separated these into 3 categories: Non-Fabric Hard covers - which include all our Metal and Timber album covers, Photo Covers - which include all our covers with images on them and Fabric Covers - which include the different options available for leather, suede, leatherette, buckram, linen and shimmer album covers.

Non-Fabric Hard Covers

Apollo Metal Albums

The Apollo series is the latest addition to our extensive range of album covers.  The semi glazed surface has a coarse finish and is popular with clients requiring a metal album that is both durable and scratch resistent.  All Apollo Metal albums come standard with a black leather spine unless another material is requested at the time of ordering.  All Apollo Metal covers are available either plain or with a 2½x3½" vertical opening.

Timber Albums

All Timber albums are available either plain or with a 2½x3½ vertical opening.  The Beechwood range (Natural, Mahogany, Walnut and Jarrah) have a timber front and back cover with the spine bound with black leather unless another material is specified at the time of ordering.  Myrtle timber albums have a Myrtle timber front cover only and the spine and back cover is bound in black leather unless an alternate material is requested at the time of ordering.

Aluminium Albums

The Aluminium Album is a smooth, lightweight metal album with aluminium on both the front and back cover.  The spine is bound with black leather unless an alternate material is selected at the time of ordering.   Album covers are available either plain or with a 2½x3½".  Etching is also available in garamond or coronet font in either black or silver.

Metal Inlays

A metal inlay is designed to shit flush on the cover of the album.  The spine and back cover is bound with Onxy leatherette with the inlay having either a Brushed or Corrugated finsih.  Metal inlays are available either plain or with a 2½x3½" vertical opening.  Etching is also available in garamond or coronet in either black or silver.

Metal Panels

Unlike the inlay, the metal panel sits on top of the matt nepal album cover.  The metal panel is available in a Brushed or Corrugated finish and can be ordered plain or with a 2½x3½" vertical opening.  Etching is available in garamond or coronet in black or silver.

Photo Covers

Perspex Montage Album - Metallic print required

Our popular Perspex Montage album has a metallic photo mounted onto the back of the Perspex.  The spine and back cover of the album will be bound in black leather unless an alternate material is specified.  The edges of the album cover are beveled and buffed creating a beautiful finish although you will need to ensure the cover is handled with care as the Perspex can scratch.

Photo Montage Album - Lustre print required

The photo is laminated for protection and then mounted onto the front cover of the album.  The spine and back cover are bound in black leather unless another material has been specified.

½ Photo Montage Album & ½ Photo Montage Album with embossing - lustre print required

Similar to the Photo Montage coverset, a photo is required to mount onto the album cover.  The photo supplied, however, will only wrap around half the cover finishing flush with the cover material.  If you choose to have the embossing on the album it will be blind embossed vertically, in stellar font, adjacent to the photo.  The spine and back cover of the album will be black lexohyde unless another material has been selected.

Photo Inlay - lustre print required

The photo can be any width and is cleverly mounted to finish flush with the remainder of the album cover material.  It looks more like a "strip" as there is material on both sides of the image.  The spine and back cover of the album is standard in black lexohyde unless another material has been selected.  Materials such as linen, shimmer and buckram work best when mounting with a photo as the thickness is similar.

Cover or silk option

The Photo Montage, Half Photo Montage and Photo Inlay albums are all available in either silk or canvas instead of a lustre print.  You must supply us with a colour corrected file and we can print these for you.

Fabric covers

Indentations

An indentation is a rectangular or square embossing on the front cover of an album, which creates a recess where an image may be mounted.  Indentations are standard in 2½x3½" vertical and horizontal and 3½x3½ square.  Special sizes and multiple indentations on one album cover can be ordered although surcharges apply.  Our albums all have double sided adhesive mounted into the indentation and all you need to do is trim your photo to suit.  For a different look try mounting a different colour card behind the photo to create a border.  This will help separate the photo from the cover and looks very effective.

Openings

An opening is slightly different to an indentation as the opening is actually cut right through the material and the photo slides in behind the cut out.  This is most suited to albums covered with black materials and although not popular with fabric materials it is very popular with metal covers.  The opening is available in either 2½x3½" vertical and horizontal or 3½x3½ square.

Personalised embossing

Having client names and wedding date embossed on the front cover of an album has been frequently used over the years and it still often requested.  We continue to offer this service although we have made slight changes with both fonts and foils to keep the look contemporary.  The fonts available are simple, yet classic, and we offer the choice of black, white, silver or gold foil.  Blind embossing is the most requested style and is very popular in todays market where simplicity is desired.  Fonts available are listed below:
