Our new design service is available for all our Digital Storybooks and Digital Flushmount albums and is easy, cost effective and the quality will beat all your expectations.  Our seasoned graphic designers create exciting, custom album designs - never from templates - to your specifications, at a price you will love.  And one of the best features of our design service is that you will receive your completed album design back as hi res layered Adobe Photoshop files (PSD files), therefore you can make further changes if necessary.

We offer 2 distinct design styles - Fine Art (Style A) or Avantegarde (Style B).  Fine Art style is a very simple, clean and modern design with little or no embellishments such as flowers, shapes etc.  Avantegarde is a more complex design sytle with the addition of text, fading, colours, graphic designs etc.  You can see from the samples provided below the design difference.  When ordering you can let us know if you any specific design ideas you would like us to incorporate.

 

How to use our design service:

1/.  Select the images that you want to include in the album.  Allow an average of 3-4 images per side (page).  If you allow for more than this your design will look very busy.

2.  Fill in our Design order form and upload your files to our ftp site.  You will need to contact us for passwords to our ftp site.  Alternatively you can send your images to us on a disk.  Remember you can give us specific instructions on your order form such as: do not use text, do not use bright colours etc.  If you have a particular design in mind you can even send samples of a description of the style/effect you wish to achieve.

3/.  Within 7-10 working days we will email you a contact sheet of your album design together with the lo res files.  You have 5 working days to make any changes.  6 changes are included free of charge.  Any additional changes after this will need to be made by yourself when we return the hi res Photoshop files to you.

4/.  Once the changes are complete we will contact you to let you know that you can download the hi res Photoshop files from the ftp folder you uploaded the images into.

Frequently asked questions:

What about colour correcting?

Colour correcting images is your responsibility.  You can either colour correct them before you send them to us or when the finished layered files come back to you. 

Can I make copies for parent albums?

Yes, yes, yes!!!  You can make duplicate copies for parents etc from the final files you receive.  You can reduce the size of the files easily in Photoshop or your lab might do it for you.  Our new Digital Flushmount albums make parent albums very affordable.

In order to steamline our clients production process we have added a print service for all our Digital albums.  When used in conjunction with our Design service we can offer studios a full design, print and bind service where you upload your images and let us do the rest.  We will send you your album design for approval and once this is done we will order your photos and complete your album.  Alternatively if you do not wish to use our design service then you can use our print and bind service only - simply send us your hi res files and we will complete your album.  This eliminates the hassles involved with getting files to your lab, picking up the finished prints and couriering them to us.

We are working together with The Edge Lab in Melbourne to offer this service and for those of you not familiar with The Edge, they are a world class lab used by renowned photographers such as Jerry Ghionis, Yervant, Peter Eastway and David Oliver.  We pick up daily from The Edge Lab and you can contact them about your calibration requirements via info@theedgephoto.com.au.
