Seldex Artistic Albums offers a large range of mats suitable for our Bookbound, Postscrew and Portrait albums and accessories.  Our range consists of over 15 different colour and style options.

Single mats

This is the traditional style of album mat most often supplied with albums and is therefore offered worldwide.  What sets our mat apart from others is the beautiful textured board we have custom made.  Our single mats are made from a 420gsm cotton base fibre board and is very modern and contemporary with its felt look finish.  Available in either black or white.

Bevel mats

Our incredibly popular bevel mats have become one of our best selling mats.  Another original design by Seldex Artistic Albums, these mats are available in either black or white.  Each aperture is cut with a bevel edge revealing the opposite colour core on the bevel and are made from a durable 460gsm stock with a linen embossing.  The black bevel mat has a white core and the white bevel mat has a black core.

Thick Bevel mats

Our thick bevel mats are made from high quality mountboard most often used in the framing industry.  Ideal for those clients requesting an album with a small number of leaves who require a different look.  These mats are available in black/black core, black/white core, white/white core, white/black core and ivory/black core.  Pleaes not the maximum number of leaves using the thick bevel mats is 15 leaves (30 sides).

Double mats - also known as twin mats

Seldex Artistic Albums are the only album company in Australia to offer real double mats.  Double matting consists of two mats adhered together to form one.  Used frequently in framing we have found this to be a popular alternative to the normal single mats and is a great way to differientiate yourself from other studio.  The inner and outer mats are the same colour although a 5-7mm border separates the two.  Available in white double mat, black double mat and grey double mat.

Two tone double mats

Like the double mats above the two tone double mats are two separate mats adhered together to form one mat.  The difference here is the inner and outer mat are alternate colours.  Meaning the inside mat is one colour, showing a 3mm border, whilst the outside mat is a different colour.  These mats are available in Black outer/White inner, White outer/Black inner, Grey outer/Black inner, Black outer/Grey inner.

Foiled mats - Post Screw albums only

we hold a large range of foiled mats for those clients wanting a Post Screw traditional wedding album with all the trimmings - gold goil, gold corners etc.  The black mats are made from a sturdy 380gsm linen stock and each aperture has a gold embossed border surround.  Available in black only.
