RESOURCES

If you are sending your prints to Seldex Artistic Albums please follow these simple steps to minimise errors and eliminate damage to your prints caused by transit.

Prints should be sent to us either flat or in a thick cardboard tube.

If sending photos in a tube:

  • Roll the photos, using a "band" to secure the roll.  Photos placed into the tube without a band will expand in the tube, making it very hard to remove without damaging the photos.  The tube may also be damaged by the courier and if your photos have expanded and your tube is not thick enough your photos will be marked.
  • To make sure the ends of the prints are not damaged, fill both ends of the tube with soft packaging material, like bubble wrap.  This will prevent the prints sliding back and forth although you must be careful not to damage the edges of the prints when filling the tube.

If sending photos flat:

  • Photos need to be placed in between thick, sturdy pieces or board.  Bubble wrap should still be wrapped around the package to provide extra protection.
  • If you tape the boards together, please make sure the tape isn't exposed to the photographs.  Occasionally, photos will move in between the board and stick to the tape used.

Other important information

  • Seldex Artistic Albums will not take any responsibility for photographs damaged in transit.
  • Seldex Artistic Albums picks up daily from The Edge Lab in Collingwood.  Please feel free to have The Edge leaves your prints in our bucket for pick up.
  • Packaging needs to be clearly marked with your name and studio reference.  An album plan should also be included with the photos.
  • You may also want to check that we have received your photos, especially if it is an urgent order, as occasionally prints do get delayed or lost in transit.
  • All drymount/flushmount photos should be included in the package.  We will not begin mounting an order until all the photos for the order have been received.
  • Photos being sent to us for photo covers and/or drymounting need to be printed the correct size as per our specifications list.  Incorrectly sized prints can not be used and will require reprinting.
