Standard Embossing – Style A allows for up to two lines of text. You may use both lines, or just a single line (either the top or bottom). If only one line is used, it will appear in the font size assigned to that line.

Your text will be embossed exactly as entered on the order form. This includes your choice of upper and lower case, all capitals, all lower case, and the use of symbols such as “and” or “&”.

As a result, names and dates can appear in a variety of formats, for example:

As you can see, there are many ways to display names and dates. For this reason, please make sure to enter them exactly as you would like them to appear when ordering online.

Standard Embossing – Style B features four lines of text. The first and third lines are designed for names, while the fourth line is ideal for dates, locations, or other details. The second line will always appear exactly as shown in the sample as either "and" or "&".

You can have your album cover embossed in the following positions. All embossing is placed on the actual cover boards, excluding the hinge and spine of the album cover. 

OPTICAL CENTRE – Your text will be embossed slightly above centre (this is the most popular option).
DEAD CENTRE – Your text will be embossed directly in the centre of the cover. (Optically this can make it appear like your text is below centre and that is why Optical Centre is the most popular choice).
BOTTOM CENTRE – Your text will be embossed bottom centre on the cover.
BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER –  Your text will be embossed on the bottom right hand corner on the cover.

If you would like your album embossed in another position this may be possible. Please make a note of this in the comments box before adding your order to the shopping cart.

You can emboss your album cover, as well as many of our other products, in a wide range of foil colours:
Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Copper, Light Blue, Light Green, Dusty Pink, Hot Pink, Red, Rainbow, Silver Hologram, Electric Blue, Turquoise, Gunmetal, Black and White.

We also offer Blind Embossing, where no foil is used and only the indentation of the embossing is visible. Blind embossing works best on Premium and Classic Leathers, as these materials are thick yet soft, allowing the embossing die to create a strong, clean impression.

Velvet
Velvet can only be embossed using Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Red or Black foils, or with blind embossing. Please note that foil embossing on Velvet is more delicate and should be handled with care. Avoid rubbing your hands over the foil, as this may cause flaking.

To make choosing easier, we recommend ordering a set of Foil Swatches so you can see how each foil looks across different materials before placing your order.
